Canoe outrigger (amas and akas)- 25 february 2012 to present. i'm working from the plans illustrated in the book "stitch and glue - boatbuilding" by chris kulczycki.. Threefold 6 multi-chine plywood trimaran . standing rigging is arranged to allow the mast to stand without the amas in using the stitch and glue. Good day all, have been reading prior posts and here is my strategy: -i am laying down fillets on the interior hull joins and reinforcing with epoxy saturated tape -planning to seal inner hull with cpes or gluvit -planning to avoid sheathing of the entire outer hull and simply reinforcing the keel, bow and stern inclusive, with epoxy saturated.
Although i had never actually kayaked before, one day i decided to make a stitch and glue kayak. for a non-kayaker i'm not sure why, but it had to do.... Stitch and glue ama mod... ok, if i can substitute polyester whipping cord for the wire stitches, how to i tighten...or am i misunderstanding what the.... Stitching the amas. february 12, 2017 each ama has two bottom panels and two side there is an instant gratification component to stitch-and-glue boatbuilding..
