I have an 06 toyota avalon and i really want a boat. the car has a 3.5 liter v6 engine with a tow capacity of 1000 lbs. i was curious if i could.... What is the weight of an 14' aluminum boat? well, a steel trailer for a 17' boat will clock in at 500 lbs. an aluminum would probably come in around 300 lbs..

Aluminum would be the way to go. i know that a trailer will weight 400 lbs or so for a 14' boat. how much does your fishing boat/trailer weigh??.
