Keeping paint on aluminum. early in my career i worked for a dealership that sold production boats, the sealant prevents water intrusion,. My 16ft. aluminum boat has a leak somewhere that i cannot find for the life of me. the weird part is it doesn't leak all the time. one time you take. It is also an excellent caulking compound since it can be sanded after it cures and it takes paint hardware to an aluminum on boat care and upgrades for 30.
